HOW DOES IT WORK?

Are you a kid (K-12) now stuck at home with nothing much to do? Perfect time to make a zombie movie! In fact, you can take part in making the world’s largest zombie movie. The organizers of the project are professional filmmakers who help guide this process, but most of the filmmaking will be done by the kids. The project is open to any kid in the world and there’s no fee to participate.  How does it work?

  1. The project is made by “Waves” of filmmakers who film assignments based on given instructions and choices. Register for FREE today to be one of the teams of filmmakers from around the world who will take part in this amazing experience. Wave 4 has started, with over 350 filmmakers participating from 18 countries. You can still participate in it – we will send you an assignment if you register.

  2. We will continue this process, getting footage from new waves of filmmakers from all over the world for different chapters of our zombie saga. WAVE 5 STARTING SOON!

  3. In the meantime, we edit furiously. Please let us know when you register if you have editing experience and can help during this phase as well. Especially looking for anyone with motion graphics or VFX knowhow. 

  4. We aim to release subsequent chapters every few weeks, continuing to tell our zombie saga.

HOW TO MAKE THE MOVIE

PROJECT STRATEGIES
FILM AT HOME
Stay safe at home and film with the equipment, actors and props available to you. Just make sure to stay safe and not film with a large group (keep it under 10 people).
USE SCREENLIFE
Film using the screenlife film language -- that means use your available devices like smartphones, tablets or laptops to capture the story. We'd love to see what's on the screens too - capture conversations on skype, facebook, instagram, tik tok, messenger or anywhere else digital.

GET SCRIPT IN PARTS
We will send you a few script pages at once and all you have to do is film them and send back. We'll take care of the editing and putting the whole film together, combining footage from around the world.
STICK TO THE DEADLINE
You will get a deadline to finish every film assignment. It's important you send us back what you filmed by the deadline (usually no more than several days after getting the script pages) so we can continue putting the film together.
TELL YOUR FRIENDS
We want to get as many people involved as possible in our quest to make this world's largest zombie movie. So tell your buddies to sign up for the next wave of filmmakers or be in your film.
HAVE FUN
Having fun is a big part of this project. After all, this is a zombie movie! It will have a crazy story and lots and lots of zombies from around the world! You have a chance to do something memorable, being part of an international film crew of creative kids.
